Wedded Bliss
One of my best friends got married this weekend! And it was a fabulous day. Louise looked absolutely radiant in her dress, and there was not a dry eye in the church as we watched Kurtis see his bride for the first time. It was such a touching moment. I had never been to a wedding so well organized and relaxed. Leigh and I arrived the day before to help out with the set up and found everything already done.
The flowers were simple: a few orchids with some greenery, and her bouquet had some added white roses. Also, she used large planters filled with white petunias for a beautiful touch in the church. Everything was simple and gorgeous.
I was honoured to be asked to be one of the bridesmaids, and asked to lead a worship song "Blessed Be Your Name" with Audrey and Ralph. This was especially special as both Ralph and Audrey are planning to move on to new things, and it was the last time we could play and sing together before they left.
At the end of the night, they had a send off, and of course some friends of theirs got a hold of their getaway car and had a little fun. Both Kurtis and Louise were great sports about it though.
Leigh was asked to be the videographer...and had his hands full with working 2 camera angles at the same time. And because of that we weren't able to get many photos taken, but here's one of the four of us together
