LINDSEY - In Idaho studying midwifery (off to philippines soon)
KRISTINA- Norway en route to Bellingham - and soon back into my life - yay!
SHANNON - In Duncan (Vancouver Island)working right now back for the summer from NY...we shall visit soon
HEIDI - who the heck knows...Thailand I think! Our little nomad
RALPH- I saw him waay sooner than expected...He WAS in Yellowknife and Whitehorse. Now he's in our office???
SIMON - is NOT playing video games (to my knowledge) as speculated Corey, but working in Melbourne (which is also in Australia Mark! - so Ben AND Simon are both there)getting paid for what he was doing for us for free
JAMIE has been seen at a rodeo while visiting her parents after a honeymoon in the Dominican,travelling by John Deer tractor (insert banjo music here)with her NEW hubby Craig
AUDGE - our EX-roome?(sigh) is learning Japanese in Japan and rockin' at it.
EMILY just moved somewhere in Southern CA - I believe LA? and back out of my life for who knows how long
LOUISE AND KURTIS were just married, and in Mexico, and have flown on to Ontario to visit family and friends there
and BEN - He's flying somewhere in the Aussie skies.

Way to go Kristina YOU WIN !!!

Burstin' With Broadway!

I've joined an awesome choir called Burstin' with Broadway. It is so much fun cause it's open to anyone that wants to be a part of a choir for fun, and all the songs that we sing are Broadway type musicals. We only meet once a week, and throughout the week we have a CD to practice with (many of the choir members actually can't read music) But it's so amazing to see how excited everyone is to be a part of this choir and how surprised they are at themselves for what they have accomplished. Somedays it's surprises me to. In the photo you will see some of the compilations we are singing this season. We will soon be singing our pieces in some elite places like the local old folks home...and our final concert will be June 10/06, at a United church in North Vancouver. Click here for the website!

The Art of Making Mistakes

  I don't know if you have ever struggled with your "bits n pieces" of art being good enough for general public viewing.  I love to draw doodley art/tangles/words... mindlessly on bits of paper especially while watching TV or listening to music.  I would never classify it as "fine" art.  I do it to relax - and because I'm  trying to slow down, I'll often make errors in the process from impatience or distraction. They are far from perfect. Not poetically beautiful. Not necessarily powerful or inspirational.  And are littered with mistakes. A few weeks ago, I saw my talented son draw a beautiful picture and half way through, throw it in the bin.  I asked him why he would throw away such a beautiful piece of work and he grunted "too many mistakes" and then "Its not how I imagined it to look." Oh boy - did I relate!   We want to hide our mistakes or start over... forget that we were so stupid to make such a big blunder in the first place.
