A great day!

Hey friends I am still alive!! Really I am!! I was having a bit of a hard time getting into the planning of the wedding. I realized it was mostly because of the stress of Leigh being a potential illegal alien...(he really wasn't) but that's what we called him here! My neice Evangeline (who is just loves Leigh) and I made him a special Alien cake (with 3 eyes too!) It was more to help me have a "fun" spirit about it, and not stress out. The issue was that he couldn't get his visa (they were backed up for weeks) and we needed to get a marriage licence before we were married. Their seemed to be other looming issues as well...and then yesterday happened. Heather called from the office to let us know that Leigh's visa had arrived (hurrah!) and that gave me great vigor to get going on the rest of the plans...Now we have most everyone housed (another hurrah!) and it looks as tho we CAN have Don marry us, maybe just a temporary SK licence is all he needs - we shal

I just finished a batch of cinnamon buns for mom... I dunno what I did, but the buns are MASSIVE...I guess people will have to share - maybe it can be like communion breakfast every morning...hm My brother brought to my attention that there is a small driving direction mistake in my wedding invites...apparently Hwy #686 is wrong...although the route is right..Hope people don't end up in Landis or something...LAME!!! I almost cried. I was in Saskatoon yesterday looking at a variety of different ideas for the wedding. And while shopping for the MOH (matron of honour) we found some shoes for me...butterflies!!! It really IS all about me!!! I got a purse at the same time, so the shoes were $8.50. My kind of expense. I haven't worn foundation in years, but thought it might be nice for the wedding...so I spent ages looking through make-up aisles trying to find a suitable colour. 30 minutes and $50 later, I came home excited to try it out...and be beautiful...Instead I look like

I honestly have the cutest nieces and nephew in the world. It has been awesome being at home. Although it's been like the arctic here! - It's FREEZING cold...so those preparing for the wedding...be aware! At this point I"m not too sure what to do. I didn't bring enough clothes here to keep warm...no jacket, nor closed toe shoes...hey maybe an excuse to go shoe shopping? and the wedding!!! it's still 5 weeks away...the big question being...should I go ahead with the outdoor wedding??? or pay much extra and go to the town hall??? what to do what to do...I have had a chance to go to the spa with my sister-in-law (FABULOUS!) and we've actually tried to master pilates...the beginner part on the beginners' tape..we are really starting at the lowest of the low! my power core is getting stronger...what an embarrassment I am to the pilates world!! actually i found that just sitting up straight was a work out in itself!!! help! I miss Leigh too...He's in Th

Can't sleep tonight as I ponder how this is my last night sharing an apartment with other girls. After tonight I head for home to prepare for "a white wedding" and then I will be living with a boy. How extraordinary. We celebrated by eating a Lindsey masterpiece - Cherry pie...and her very own chai latte's and such. We ate our favourite evening snack - popcorn and Henri came over as well as Heather with a great movie "Guess Who". Kristina is also a fab roomie. She is so ooo much fun!!! When Leigh and I got engaged she and Lindsey stayed up all night waiting for me to get home...and then the next morning made a special breakfast of crepes for us. Leigh and I walked to the nearby 7-11 and picked them up lolli-rings to top off the celebration. I just have to thank these girls for making my last few months as a single gal so special and precious. I could not have asked for better friends or "sisters". Thank you for all of who you are, and how you make
