Is it the Starbucks one where you can open the top and drink? B/C I am so purchasing that little number next time I'm in the city. NOw that I am a rink mom I simply must have one. And some new shoes.
I also need a haircut. Have you had yours cut since I was there?
Yes...it is the starbucks one...you just click the little red button on top and pour it into your lid...It's sooooooooooo great! I love it! I'm such a slow coffee drinker, and it keeps the coffee hot for a long time, so I don't have to throw it away.
I think the last time I cut my hair was when you were here...is that sad? the first picture doesn't even show how long it is in the back really...and incredibly unhealthy. I hadn't let that happen to my hair for a long time!
I haven't cut my hair since the week after I got home from your house. Whch means that next week I am about due. I'm a 1.5 times a year kinda of girl. But now I am getting obsessed with the hair cutting and NEEEEEED a cut. And the thermos. Which the sippy part on the top.
Quite frankly Leigh looked like a whole different creature with the long hair. I didn't even know it was HIM in pictures. He's much, much prettier now.
I've joined an awesome choir called Burstin' with Broadway. It is so much fun cause it's open to anyone that wants to be a part of a choir for fun, and all the songs that we sing are Broadway type musicals. We only meet once a week, and throughout the week we have a CD to practice with (many of the choir members actually can't read music) But it's so amazing to see how excited everyone is to be a part of this choir and how surprised they are at themselves for what they have accomplished. Somedays it's surprises me to. In the photo you will see some of the compilations we are singing this season. We will soon be singing our pieces in some elite places like the local old folks home...and our final concert will be June 10/06, at a United church in North Vancouver. Click here for the website!
I don't know if you have ever struggled with your "bits n pieces" of art being good enough for general public viewing. I love to draw doodley art/tangles/words... mindlessly on bits of paper especially while watching TV or listening to music. I would never classify it as "fine" art. I do it to relax - and because I'm trying to slow down, I'll often make errors in the process from impatience or distraction. They are far from perfect. Not poetically beautiful. Not necessarily powerful or inspirational. And are littered with mistakes. A few weeks ago, I saw my talented son draw a beautiful picture and half way through, throw it in the bin. I asked him why he would throw away such a beautiful piece of work and he grunted "too many mistakes" and then "Its not how I imagined it to look." Oh boy - did I relate! We want to hide our mistakes or start over... forget that we were so stupid to make such a big blunder in the first place.
