Is it the Starbucks one where you can open the top and drink? B/C I am so purchasing that little number next time I'm in the city. NOw that I am a rink mom I simply must have one. And some new shoes.
I also need a haircut. Have you had yours cut since I was there?
Yes...it is the starbucks one...you just click the little red button on top and pour it into your lid...It's sooooooooooo great! I love it! I'm such a slow coffee drinker, and it keeps the coffee hot for a long time, so I don't have to throw it away.
I think the last time I cut my hair was when you were here...is that sad? the first picture doesn't even show how long it is in the back really...and incredibly unhealthy. I hadn't let that happen to my hair for a long time!
I haven't cut my hair since the week after I got home from your house. Whch means that next week I am about due. I'm a 1.5 times a year kinda of girl. But now I am getting obsessed with the hair cutting and NEEEEEED a cut. And the thermos. Which the sippy part on the top.
Quite frankly Leigh looked like a whole different creature with the long hair. I didn't even know it was HIM in pictures. He's much, much prettier now.
I don't know if you have ever struggled with your "bits n pieces" of art being good enough for general public viewing. I love to draw doodley art/tangles/words... mindlessly on bits of paper especially while watching TV or listening to music. I would never classify it as "fine" art. I do it to relax - and because I'm trying to slow down, I'll often make errors in the process from impatience or distraction. They are far from perfect. Not poetically beautiful. Not necessarily powerful or inspirational. And are littered with mistakes. A few weeks ago, I saw my talented son draw a beautiful picture and half way through, throw it in the bin. I asked him why he would throw away such a beautiful piece of work and he grunted "too many mistakes" and then "Its not how I imagined it to look." Oh boy - did I relate! We want to hide our mistakes or start over... forget that we were so stupid to make such a big blunder in the first place....
I can hardly believe the big day has come and gone - the big 3-oh! Fortunately I have been informed by many that 30 is the new 20 so, I'm doing good then!...There have been no major old age mishaps - like losing my vision, having a bad hip, arthritis, or a desire to watch Matlock - I am in good condition!!! While at home my parents/family made a great dinner and gave me a few great presents like a new calendar, the movie Big Fish, Foot lotions, etc. and some cash. It was great to spend an evening with them celebrating. Also Leigh's parents, brother, and sister sent me some money to buy a guitar so now I am looking into that a bit more to see what would suit me best. I am so blessed. With a little bit of the money that I got, I went to Canadian Tire and bought a mini drawer thing used for screws, and nails, etc. and made it into a jewelry box for all my necklaces, and earrings, etc. It's fabulous! My actual birthDAY was amazing too... It all started with some yummy eggs...
