Sunny Days!
It has been wonderfully sunny this week which has helped my mood immensely. I'm so thankful that the kids are mostly finished with this dreaded cold & flu. It has made this week so much easier to take on too. But poor Levi had a longer stint of sickness with a fairly high fever one day that finally passed. I have managed to catch the virus and have struggled with an inner ear infection alongside of another bout of mastitis. Once the antibiotics begin to work, I imagine everything will be even better.
Hallelujah Aliyah has begun to sleep throughout the night. But for some reason the more sleep we get, the more aware of how tired we are. Leigh is an absolute champ through these past few weeks of sickness too, waking at night to help me care for Aliyah and the boys, and still rising early to get to work in the mornings. It's amazing how one can function on such lack of sleep but he's happy to do it, and won't do it any other way. I'm glad he's like that, I've needed my sleep too!
Aliyah has been getting more and more interactive as well. She is growing up so fast. She is starting to smile and giggle, and loves to watch the boys play around her.
Malakai is getting braver and braver. Leigh likes to play a game where he holds Kai high up in the air on one hand, and balances him there. Even in his swimming classes he's getting more bold and loves to spend most of his time underwater.
This week the boys moved up another level in their swimming lessons. This is truly the most exciting part of their week. They get so excited, it is hard to get them to eat breakfast on days when they know they are going swimming. Nan and Pa meet us at the pool, and Nan usually jumps in and helps Leigh out while Pa and I stand on the poolside watching the boys, with Aliyah.
Levi's speech is constantly improving - it is amazing to hear him mimic so many words. I can see even within the last week or two how quickly his speech is improving. We celebrated Nan's birthday this week, and Levi shouted "hooray, hooray, hooray for Nan"!
