The Job Front
Well, many of you have been asking about our job situation at this point, and I thought I'd send you all an update of what is going on...
Angela - recieved a casual job with the Australian Institute of Music and Childhood Development working with the Hey Dee Ho Program. This is working with kids 5 and under teaching music skills as well as child development skills (using music). Although this program is widespread across Victoria, the program is just starting in Ballarat. We go into preschools & playschools, and offer our services as the music portion of their program. We also hold parent/child classes in local community centres. This is what I will be doing primarily. It all really breaks down to me being a children's entertainer...really!! Move over Barney! It is loads of fun! However, I have about a million kids songs playing around in my brain all the time! that could make me crazy!
I also received another part-time job this week, as a bookkeeper/administrator with a health and wellness centre that offers two primary services: Sureslim which is a weight loss and wellness organization that focuses on healthy eating and a balanced lifestyle, and a gym which specializes in the Vibrogym a low impact exercise machine with excellent results! My sister in law Sarah also works at this job as a trainee in becoming a personal trainer.
I'm thankful for both jobs, and can't believe that I'd get a chance to be working with both companies, and my sister!
Leigh - has had many interviews, and lots of time applying for jobs. Unfortunately he hasn't been able to snag one yet...(which is really killing him) This week he had a great interview that is right up his alley, and where his experience with CentreLink will really help. He had to travel to Melbourne for the interview, which we think is hopeful. He won't find out, however, for another week. Waiting to hear back is so hard to do! There are a lot of good perks with this job, and it would be wonderful if you could be praying that he gets it!
Well, that's the news on the JOBFRONT...
