Laying Low

So our first 2 programs in MA were hugely successful! However we ARE TIRED!!!

It's been 10 days of busyness and then a quick trip home to visit family and attend Jason and Blanca's wedding reception (see previous post) and then it was another 10 days of working with teams.

We had 4 teams here recently. One from Colorado, one from Calgary, one from Edmonton, and one from Niverville (that's in MB).

We had a great time with these guys but the late nights (11:30pm) and early mornings (7:30am) were fast catching up on us, and I was worried I wouldn't make it through...you really start getting cross-eyed when you're tired, and saying weird things, and of course you have to learn to curb you edginess with staff and others - but we did, and of course GOD MOVED! and our participants lives were changed, and now we get to rest for awhile - HALLELUJAH!!!
We start again Monday July 23.

Our theme (as you can see from the top) is Lazarus Wake up Dead Man! from the scripture in the book of John where Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. The actual art we've been using has had a "rock theme" hence the tour part of it, and all the music paraphernalia.

During the break we are taking our staff on a retreat up to Whistler for 2 nights, which will be glorious! We've had unbelievable wonderful weather... and my heart for this city grows - I love this city!
We also had an awesome friend Corey Hau, show up from Seattle for a visit this weekend. So good to see him again. Here I'll steal a picture from his blog.
And we had our cousin Asha visit last weekend for an evening and had a short but sweet time with her eating gelato....mmmm gelato!

Yes, I think you should rest, you deserve it, you need it, DO IT.

Hey Ang, I'm glad MA is going ok. It's cool, I'm teaching at Jamie and Kim's MA this week and I got to be a participant for "Dead Man" in Ensenada with a local church this year. It was wierd being on "the other side" of things but good too. Our kids had a blast down there. Stay sane and congrats on the new digs for your offices and ministry!
