Blutterflies & Coffee

My God-daughter looked up at me awhile ago while skipping down the street and exclaimed that when she grew up she was going to be a "butterfly" and added "flutter flutter flutter flutter".

I have a huge soft spot for butterflies. I haven't bought many things recently but the couple things that I did get might display some sort of a theme.

A butterfly purse (with cute change purse)
A butterfly thermos
A butterfly mug (the striped one is for Sarah)
And my mother-in-law bought me these SUPER cute tea cups 2 Christmas' ago.
That's right the common factor is coffee...
You need a purse to buy a coffee.
You use a thermos to keep the coffee hot
You use the mugs to drink the coffee
You observe people drinking from the cute teacups while you have a cup of coffee

You can drink coffee from whatever it comes in! My Grandmother only owned teacups but she would serve her blend of coffee and chickory from the fine bone china with saucers to boot. In our Anglo entrenched background the coffee mug only became popular in the 60's. But at least now we don't have to have 2 or 3 cups to get our caffiene fix!

Yesterday at our staff pinawa conference, Leigh went to enjoy a natural waterslide in an activity time, and lost his wedding band. It was in the middle of the rapids so it's not likely to be seen again. He had tried to take it off before getting in the water, but wasn't able to. I am sad. Good thing the ring is just a symbol. The Big 3- Oh!

I can hardly believe the big day has come and gone - the big 3-oh! Fortunately I have been informed by many that 30 is the new 20 so, I'm doing good then!...There have been no major old age mishaps - like losing my vision, having a bad hip, arthritis, or a desire to watch Matlock - I am in good condition!!! While at home my parents/family made a great dinner and gave me a few great presents like a new calendar, the movie Big Fish, Foot lotions, etc. and some cash. It was great to spend an evening with them celebrating. Also Leigh's parents, brother, and sister sent me some money to buy a guitar so now I am looking into that a bit more to see what would suit me best. I am so blessed. With a little bit of the money that I got, I went to Canadian Tire and bought a mini drawer thing used for screws, and nails, etc. and made it into a jewelry box for all my necklaces, and earrings, etc. It's fabulous! My actual birthDAY was amazing too... It all started with some yummy eggs...
