In Love...

I have fallen in love... again and again and again...



I'm so thankful for mom and dad being here to help me out as well...



I had my final check up with the obstetrician this week, and it was kind of sad to say goodbye. It was such an "involved" pregnancy that I believe we made friends. The high level of anxiety surrounding the pregnancy increased our bond. It was amazing to hear him utter the words... "there must have been some sort of divine intervention" which I of course assured him, there was! I told him about the people who had been praying for us all around the world, and I hoped this journey was a part of changing his life - in drawing him closer to God. He smiled and I could see a glimpse of relief mixed with joy for the outcome of this pregnancy. The more I talked with him and the other surgeons, the more I realized what a miracle it is to have Levi and Malakai here. And I am so in love with these boys....so so so in love... that I can't even believe it's possible to love 2 little people so much!

Burstin' With Broadway!

I've joined an awesome choir called Burstin' with Broadway. It is so much fun cause it's open to anyone that wants to be a part of a choir for fun, and all the songs that we sing are Broadway type musicals. We only meet once a week, and throughout the week we have a CD to practice with (many of the choir members actually can't read music) But it's so amazing to see how excited everyone is to be a part of this choir and how surprised they are at themselves for what they have accomplished. Somedays it's surprises me to. In the photo you will see some of the compilations we are singing this season. We will soon be singing our pieces in some elite places like the local old folks home...and our final concert will be June 10/06, at a United church in North Vancouver. Click here for the website!

The Art of Making Mistakes

  I don't know if you have ever struggled with your "bits n pieces" of art being good enough for general public viewing.  I love to draw doodley art/tangles/words... mindlessly on bits of paper especially while watching TV or listening to music.  I would never classify it as "fine" art.  I do it to relax - and because I'm  trying to slow down, I'll often make errors in the process from impatience or distraction. They are far from perfect. Not poetically beautiful. Not necessarily powerful or inspirational.  And are littered with mistakes. A few weeks ago, I saw my talented son draw a beautiful picture and half way through, throw it in the bin.  I asked him why he would throw away such a beautiful piece of work and he grunted "too many mistakes" and then "Its not how I imagined it to look." Oh boy - did I relate!   We want to hide our mistakes or start over... forget that we were so stupid to make such a big blunder in the first place.
