Good Eats America!


On our tour, we have been treated so well. America has been so hospitable This is a photo of our Canadian Thanksgiving celebration dinner at Audrey's family's house in Ft. Worth Texas.
Thanks America for keeping more than our tummies happy.

Our hosts had never seen anyone finish it, so Leigh gave them a little show leaving them amazed while he leans over my plate to see what was left to sample there
I had a quesadilla - does this look like a quesadilla to anyone??? Yum...


Perhaps I will be familiarizing myself with my runners and the gym when I return to Vancouver???

Um, yes Leigh, I think you know I would. To me a fun salad is the highest form of real food. well that and a hot cross bun at midnight.

Yesterday at our staff pinawa conference, Leigh went to enjoy a natural waterslide in an activity time, and lost his wedding band. It was in the middle of the rapids so it's not likely to be seen again. He had tried to take it off before getting in the water, but wasn't able to. I am sad. Good thing the ring is just a symbol. But we are so close to our 1 year anniversary...

The Big 3- Oh!

I can hardly believe the big day has come and gone - the big 3-oh! Fortunately I have been informed by many that 30 is the new 20 so, I'm doing good then!...There have been no major old age mishaps - like losing my vision, having a bad hip, arthritis, or a desire to watch Matlock - I am in good condition!!! While at home my parents/family made a great dinner and gave me a few great presents like a new calendar, the movie Big Fish, Foot lotions, etc. and some cash. It was great to spend an evening with them celebrating. Also Leigh's parents, brother, and sister sent me some money to buy a guitar so now I am looking into that a bit more to see what would suit me best. I am so blessed. With a little bit of the money that I got, I went to Canadian Tire and bought a mini drawer thing used for screws, and nails, etc. and made it into a jewelry box for all my necklaces, and earrings, etc. It's fabulous! My actual birthDAY was amazing too... It all started with some yummy eggs...
