We had the privilege of visiting some close friends of ours while in Winnipeg: Dave and Heather, and their handsome men. The boys were so photogenic!

Yesterday at our staff pinawa conference, Leigh went to enjoy a natural waterslide in an activity time, and lost his wedding band. It was in the middle of the rapids so it's not likely to be seen again. He had tried to take it off before getting in the water, but wasn't able to. I am sad. Good thing the ring is just a symbol. But we are so close to our 1 year anniversary...

How does one go from sheer chaos to holiday mode in a day? Well that's what I'm currently trying to deal with. RELAX?!!! Are you kidding me? Have you seen my laundry pile? But it's been good to have a breather. It takes about a week to unwind, but sometimes you don't have that luxury. And then you need another week of catch up - on housework, bills, emails, friends, etc. which you try to do all in one day for some reason, but you don't get it done, and then you're back to work! Whew! Anyways, I'm trying to successfully holiday (since last Friday) and I think yesterday was the first day I really accomplished that. My cousin Asha and her husband Eric came by to visit, and it was so refreshing to have non-work related connections with somebody. Then last night we had a mini-birthday party with Sophia, as Leigh and I will be gone during her actual birthday. We had a STELLAR meal of smoked ribs made by Wade. My husband has started doing this video thing(Revver) with a couple buddies of his, where they make up videos and put them on the internet for other's viewing pleasure. The idea is that every time someone clicks on the add after the video, they make money. I was like "you can do that?" and well, they've already done a few of them - just really quick videos. Anyways, Leigh's buddy Nick edited one, which has been quite a hit so far - and has helped their "cause" along well. I had a chance to sit on the beach one day and look at my fair city - Isn't she lovely. I spend the year helping young people invest in this city - and I love it with all my heart. Leigh and I have a new roomie - Hannah - Here's a cute picture of she and I together. She is going to be married at the end of March to one of Leigh's best friends Nick. so this is an exciting new season for them. I love this picture of them...
